Goblin & Grog - Dungeon World Campaign

Caravan Attack

After departing the farmhouse, the party headed north towards the woods. They saw evidence of an attack to the east and upon investigation discovered a band or goblins attacking a caravan. Cassius fell in the encounter, but they did remain victorious in the end.

Delong, having been out all night trying to sell his ruse to Barvoro, saw the rest of the party leaving The Coyotes of Fortunes chapter house mid-morning. He followed them to The Drunken Mermaid where they intended to eat breakfast.

Once inside, Cassius, Xeno, and Clarke ordered food from Alfy and harrassed a sleeping drunk of a dwarf named  Inelegor. After a short while, Delong joined them and they gave  Inelegor a few drinks to loosen his lips.

They then proceeded to Tim's house, Rafferty Manor, where they drew some unwanted attention from the guards. They worked their way in and discussed the Green men, and after seeing through Tim's deception, got him to admit to covering up to save face. They were interrupted by a guard speaking of an attack on a farm, and after some convincing, they rode out to investigate.

Upon arrival at Hofer's Farm, the indeed saw that there were Green men attacking livestock and setting fire to the hay-bales. They rushed in and saved the day! Xeno remembered he had a book in his possession that may shed some light on what these creatures were, and sure enough he did! They were an ancient legend known as Goblins.

Ovid was very greatful for the assistance in getting rid of the Goblin menace, and the help putting out the fire they had started in the field.

Strange creatures and squeamish politicians

On the north road, about 1/2 days journey from Wolfwater, the founding members of The Coyotes of Fortune new chapter ran into some trouble! A caravan had been attacked and set aflame by small Green men, the likes of which had never been seen.

After dispatching with 2, and scaring off the remaining creatures, the party discovered the grim fait of the caravan's occupants. Bringing the 2 remaining unburnt victims, and one of the strange Green men, they proceeded to Wolfwater.

The liaison assigned to The Coyotes of Fortune, Tim met them at their new headquarters to make sure they were settled in, and agreed to take the bodies for identification, and to see if any of the towns scholars might have a clue what the mysterious Green men are. He then asked the chapter leader, Barvoro to join him as he left to discuss a private matter.

Not trusting the intentions of Tim or Barvoro, the party decided to send Delong after them to see what he could learn. It appeared that Barvoro had brought Tim some kind of ointment to help with an issue he was having.

After their long journey, everyone was ready to pack it in for the night.

The table is set, the players arrive… so now what?!

On 11/20/16 at 7:30 PM EST we will have our very first session of this new campaign. If anyone is interested, you can get a copy of the Dungeon World rules from DriveThruRPG here for just $10. It shouldn't be necessary, but I know some of you may want to.

Character creation is quick and easy and we will do it together during our first session. It is meant to be a collaborative process.

We will use Google Hangouts since we are spread out across the country, and I'm looking into a dice rolling plugin that we will all use. I plan on rolling "in front of the screen" as it were.
